Preparing for Bologna?
Check out some Norwegian silent books!

Norway is the guest country of Honor at this year's Bologna Book fair. Compared to our population, Norway has a great number of children's books published every year, but Norwegian silent books are almost non-existent.

There are a few though, and some of them are very interesting!

Some titles we would love to have in our collection are unfortunately out of print, but below is a list to get you started.

Perfect if you want to get a wordless glimpse of Norway before heading off to Bologna - here you can learn about our fairy tale culture, our weather, our trains, our food and much more. Enjoy!

Listed in chronolocial order:
Ulvehunger - Elise Fagerli (1995)
Gravenstein - Øyvind Torseter (2009)

Jeg rømmer - Mari Kanstad Johnsen (2016)
Hvor skal kattene bo - Torill Kove (2018)

Regnværsdagen - Max Estes (2022)
Tur Retur - Per Ragnar Møkleby (2026)
(norsk anmeldelse av Tur Retur her)
