Ponteponente is a friendly and beautiful children's bookstore, located in Rome's very interesting Appio-Lationo district. The store is run by two literature scholars, which explains the wonderfully curated selection of books on offer. It also means that you get expert help to find the perfect silent book, or gift or whatever you are looking for - they even sell stories for the Kamishibai!
Ponteponente is also one of those stores where children are not only tolerated, but actively welcomed: They even offer a library (with several great silent book titles) for children to read! The store has lots of interesting objects and decor, and comfortable places where you can sit and read. If you are in Rome with your children, make sure to bring them along, they will love it!
A fun and colorful space built with solid literary knowledge, with a mission to promote the joy of reading through quality children's literature. If all neighboorhoods had a space like Ponteponente, the world would be a better place!
