If you love books and reading, you simply cannot miss Libreria Eli. A not-so-little piece of heaven for all booklovers, whether you are into vintage books, children's literature, contemporary books or books on things like art and cooking:We write not-so-little because this store is HUGE, 700 m2 of pure reading joy. The owners' passion for reading is obvious already before opening the door, they have decorated the ramp to the entrance with quotes on books and readers.
For our readers, the most interesting room at ELI is of course the children's room. It is quite small, but holds a wonderful selection of titles. There are quite a few great silent book titles, we even found some silent gems on their 50% sale shelf! If you are just starting out as a silent book reader, or if you're looking for a present and have no idea what to buy, this is a great choice as the selection is not overwhelming and basically every title is a great one.
But you can't leave Eli without exploring the other rooms. There is a huge space decicated to used and vintage books, which you can buy by the kilo, using the large weight in the middle of the room. There is an art exhibit, a room for book readings, shelves of extra valuable antique books and so much more. Be prepared to spend a blissful hours in this space!
