"Sto na favola" is the slogan of Ottimomassimo, which translates to "Like a fairytale". And this beautiful store really is a fairytale, especially if you love silentbooks. The owner of the store is Deborah Soria, project leader of the world largest silent book library. She offers a handpicked selection of the very best of silentbooks, I spend hours browsing that shelf every summer. Even out-of-print, hard-to-get, very rare silentbooks magically finds their way to this store. The staff is superfriendly, knows all there is to know about kids books and the whole place has a fun, chilled vibe. Sto na favola!
If you have kids, you will not have to worry about them being bored while you explore the silentbooks, the store is rather small, but packed with all kinds of magical stuff to explore.
You will even find a Norwegian troll there! Safely locked up, as they can be very dangerous.
Ottimomassimo is located in beautiful Trastevere in Rome. After shopping, you will need a gelato - and the best gelato I have found in Rome is two minutes away, ask the staff to give you directions to Otaleg! You also have another great bookstore, Tic e le cose fantastiche, right by.
