Looking for silentbooks by Norwegian authors? This store is your best bet!
There are not yet any Norwegian bookstores with a decent selection of silent books. But Svovel Fabrikk & Butikk usually has a few, and is also the only specialty bookstore for children´s books in Norway.
The store is tiny, but packed with great selection of books. Most are in Norwegian, but they also have a few in English. If you ask for silent books or wordless books, chances are the staff will know what you are looking for and guide you too them. The staff often make beautiful, whimsical windowdisplays that add extra fun to the visit.
Sometimes there are read-alouds or other events for kids in the weekends, so if you are travelling with children, look out for those! EDIT: Svovel has just expanded - an updated review with new pics will be posted shortly!
